What do you recognise in KUBO as a company that you don’t encounter with other suppliers?
Beyond what we build together, we try to move the sector forward together. We challenge each other on that as well.
The frontrunner role they have, and the role we aspire to, work very well together. You have to move forward together.
What has KUBO made possible that you would not have been able to come up with yourselves?
What KUBO makes possible is the synergy between all the different ideas that are out there.
It is literally the structure where everything comes together.
What would not be possible without the specific characteristics of this greenhouse?
For some specialities, one bay is enough, while for others we need five bays.
So we need to be flexible with the spaces we use for them. That whole puzzle is something we definitely challenged KUBO on.
How many countries do you reach from this location, and what makes that possible?
We can supply all of Europe with our products, as well as the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
What has this collaboration brought your company beyond just a new greenhouse?
What the collaboration has brought us is that we can genuinely say that, with our greenhouse, we are among the frontrunners in horticulture.
Not only Dutch horticulture, but horticulture as a whole.
Every time we want to build a new greenhouse, we want the latest technology in it as well. And once again, we’ve managed to do that.
So we have pushed the boundaries further here.
I’m incredibly proud of that, and I can’t wait for the next build.
For Koppert Cress, the relationship with KUBO is not defined by one completed project. The value lies in being able to challenge one another, bring different ideas together and continue the relationship when the next opportunity to build arises.
